FIELD: detection systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the detection of items containing magnetized or ferromagnetic components. Detection system (1) contains first and second detectors (10, 20), which contain magnetic sensors (5) made with the possibility of detection of a magnetic field and generation of a signal characterizing the intensity of the magnetic field; processing unit (6) made with the possibility of reception of signals characterizing the intensity of the magnetic field and detected by specified sensors (5); and communication interface (7) made with the possibility of transmission of signals generated by magnetic sensors (5) to processing unit (6). Processing unit (6) is additionally made with the possibility of determination of an adjusted value of signals by application of a weakening coefficient to signals generated by the magnetic sensor or sensors of first and second detectors (10, 20) formed by magnetic sensors (5), and with the possibility of transmission of instructions for generation of an alarm signal, when the specified adjusted value exceeds a set threshold value.
EFFECT: possibility of reliable detection of small items containing magnetic components.
