SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of trialkylindium. According to the proposed method, trialkylindium is obtained in a reaction mixture, which contains at least one alkylindium halogenide, trialkylaluminum, carboxylate, and a solvent consisting of hydrocarbons, while alkyl residues are independently of each other selected from C₁-C₄ alkyl. A method for the production of an indium-containing semiconductor and/or indium-containing coating is also proposed.

EFFECT: proposed method allows for obtaining trialkylindium with high yield and high purity.
