FIELD: railway, urban and industrial transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the preparation of an aluminothermic reaction mixture for welding railway rails by the intermediate casting method for railway, urban and industrial transport. The thermite mixture contains, as iron oxides, scale formed during the rolling of railway rails, as a reducing agent - powders of aluminum and titanium, and as dopants-fluxes - carbon-fluorine-containing dust from gas cleaning of aluminum production, in the following ratio of components, wt.%: scale 56.28-65, titanium powder 21.84-30.3, aluminum powder 4.2-5.88, carbon-fluorine-containing dust of gas cleaning of aluminum production 0.5-16.
EFFECT: ensuring the required physical and mechanical properties of the weld by reducing the level of oxide non-metallic inclusions and eliminating microcracks in the weld.
