FIELD: thermite reaction mixture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the preparation of a thermite reaction mixture for welding railway rails by the intermediate casting method for railway, urban and industrial transport tracks. The thermite reaction mixture contains, as iron oxides, scale formed during the rolling of railway rails, contains titanium powder as a reducing agent, and carbon-fluorine-containing dust from gas cleaning of aluminum production as alloying additives, in the following ratio, wt.%: scale 58-63, titanium powder 21-41.5, carbon-fluorine-containing dust from gas cleaning of aluminum production 0.5-16.
EFFECT: ensuring the required physical and mechanical properties of the weld due to the absence of microcracks in the weld, which are formed as a result of contamination of the weld metal with alumina-containing non-metallic inclusions.
