FIELD: packaging technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a lid for a container, in particular to a lid having a retaining ring that can be connected to the neck of the container, while the lid also has a closing element that remains connected to the retaining ring after opening. The lid for the container contains a side wall (2) passing around the axis (Z) and a transverse wall (3) located transversely to the axis (Z), while on the side wall (2) there is a dividing line (4), providing the formation of a retaining ring (5) remaining attached to the neck of the container, and the closing element (6), made with the possibility of a detachable connection with the neck for opening or closing the container. The dividing line (4) runs around the axis (Z) and is interrupted in the circumferential direction, forming a connecting part (8) that connects the retaining ring (5) and the closing element (6). The lid (1) additionally has a cut line (21) running along the side wall (2) transversely relative to the axis (Z), so that the dividing line (4) in the axial direction is located between the retaining ring (5) and the cut line (21). Two connecting strips (29, 30) are formed between the dividing line (4) and the cut line (21), providing a connection of the closing element (6) with the retaining ring (5).

EFFECT: creating a lid for a container that has a closing element remaining connected to the retaining ring, and which does not require the use of very complex molds for its manufacture.
