INSTALLATION FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION CONTROL Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N17/02

Abstract RU 2783858 C1

FIELD: metal protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for monitoring cathodic protection with autonomous power supply and can be used to control the electrochemical protection of metal structures, including marine and other structures from corrosion. The cathodic protection control installation contains a power source with its current conversion system, an electromagnetic circuit breaker for cathodic protection, a dielectric frame with test and control samples attached to it, an anode grounding and a reference electrode, power and measuring cable lines, while additionally contains electrical measuring devices in the form of loggers for measuring the potential and current of cathodic protection; the power source is made in the form of a solar panel, and the current conversion system is made in the form of two series-connected unregulated pulsed semiconductor DC converter and an adjustable pulsed semiconductor DC converter; the terminals of the solar panel are connected to the supply input of this unregulated DC pulse converter; the power supply of the electromagnetic breaker coil is made from this unregulated pulse DC converter through the delay circuit; the output of an unregulated DC pulse converter is also connected to the supply input of an adjustable DC pulse converter, the negative output of which is electrically connected to the test samples through calibrated resistors, and its positive output is connected through the switching contact of an electromagnetic breaker with an insoluble anode.

EFFECT: possibility of ensuring continuous automatic and autonomous operation of the cathodic protection control device.
