FIELD: food engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food engineering, in particular to devices for extrusion of starch-containing raw materials of plant origin. A unit for thermal-vacuum extrusion of plant raw materials includes a thermal-vacuum extruder, a gas ejector, a fan, air tubular electric heaters (hereinafter – TEH), a hopper mixer, a grinder, and dispensers. The thermal-vacuum extruder consists of a loading chamber, a screw, a case, a matrix die, a cutting device, a preliminary dehydration chamber, two sluice gates, a final dehydration chamber, a vacuum cylinder, a vacuum adjuster, a vacuum meter, a vacuum pump. The preliminary dehydration chamber is located coaxially to the extruder case and is connected by a pipeline to the gas ejector. The final dehydration chamber is located sequentially to the preliminary dehydration chamber, is limited from both sides with sluice gates, and is connected by the pipeline to the vacuum cylinder. The fan and air TEH are placed between the gas ejector and a perforated chamber of the hopper mixer, and are connected by the pipeline. A passive line of an ejected flow in the gas ejector starts in the preliminary dehydration chamber, and an active line of the ejected flow is continuation of an output branch pipe of the vacuum pump, by means of which water steam is pumped from the final dehydration chamber.
EFFECT: increase in energy efficiency of a unit for thermal-vacuum extrusion of plant raw materials, and simplification of its technological adjustments – moisture content of processed raw materials and the final product.
