IMPROVED METHOD FOR OBTAINING BRAIN ORGANOIDS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C12N5/79 C12M1/22

Abstract RU 2784072 C1

FIELD: cell biology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cell biology, biotechnology and medicine, in particular to a method for obtaining brain organoids from neuroepithelial spheroids. The method is carried out in a mini-bioreactor at 37±1°C, in an atmosphere of 5±1% CO2, relative humidity 80±5%, while rotating on an orbital shaker at a frequency of 60-70 rpm. The mini-bioreactor is a Petri dish with low adhesion, which has an inner diameter of at least 60 mm and is equipped with a central island element in the form of a spherical segment with a diameter of 0.83 to 1.17 of the inner diameter of the mini-bioreactor and a height of at least 3 mm.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to expand the arsenal of means for obtaining brain organelles with the possibility of preserving the surface layer of cells from damage.
