FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reciprocating compressor. Compressor (1) comprises a body (8) with a compression chamber (13) and a piston (10) located in the chamber (13) and connected with a kinematic mechanism (20). The drive is formed by means of an electromagnetic linear drive (25) of the piston (10). The drive (25) comprises an indirect electromagnetic drive of the piston (10) with a plunger (29) configured for reciprocating movement in a linear guide (30). One or more windings (26) are located around or along the guide (30) and are capable of interacting with the plunger (29) by means of induction. At least one of the piston (10), the plunger (29), the cylindrical casing (9), or the guide (30) comprises one or more magnets. One or more of these magnets constitute permanent magnets.
EFFECT: creation of an efficient compressor with a compact lightweight drive without the need for complex control means.
