SUBSTANCE: method for diagnosis of severity of liver cirrhosis of a mixed etiology using a blood test includes serum levels of interleukin-6 determination in patients, and a slight (compensated) liver cirrhosis is diagnosed with an interleukin-6 value of less than or equal to 12.7 pg/ml, moderate (subcompensated) cirrhosis is diagnosed with an interleukin-6 concentration of more than 12.7 pg/ml and less than or equal to 26.2 pg/ml and severe (decompensated) degree of liver cirrhosis is diagnosed with an interleukin-6 level of more than 26.2 pg/ml.

EFFECT: increased availability and ease of implementation for high sensitivity, specificity and objectivity of the method.
