FIELD: treatment of water.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for purifying water for the purpose of prolonging storage thereof in non-sealed or frequently opened vessels. Method includes antibacterial treatment followed by exposure to gaseous argon. The water is placed in an autoclave at a temperature of 4 to 20 °C under a pressure of 3 to 7 kg/cm2 and treated with argon for 15 minutes. Then the water is poured into storage containers.
EFFECT: prolonged storage of water in non-sealed or frequently opened vessels for household drinking needs due to the water treated with argon under excessive pressure with oxygen displaced therefrom does not provide conditions for the growth of aerobic microorganisms.
