VACCINE AGAINST LYME DISEASE IN DOGS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61K39/193

Abstract RU 2785620 C2

FIELD: biotechnology; veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: vaccine contributing to prevention of a disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi infection is presented, containing two particles of alphavirus RNA replicon, where one particle of alphavirus RNA replicon encodes protein A (OspA) of an outer surface of Borrelia burgdorferi, and where the other particle of alphavirus RNA replicon encodes protein C (OspC) of the outer surface of Borrelia burgdorferi; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A vaccine contributing to prevention of a disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi infection is presented, containing a particle of alphavirus RNA replicon, which encodes two Borrelia burgdorferi antigens, where one Borrelia burgdorferi antigen is protein A of the outer surface (OspA), and where the other Borrelia burgdorferi antigen is protein C of the outer surface (OspC); and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A method for immunization of an animal of the canine family against pathogen Borrelia genotypes is presented, including administration to a mammal of immunologically effective amount of the vaccine.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at additional improvement of a vaccine against Lyme disease, which would better protect mammals, especially dogs, from this debilitating disease.
