FIELD: measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring the width of the groove and its symmetry relative to the outer spherical surface. The device contains a base, a base element with a conical hole, two indicators with probes, a measuring head with a measuring tip and a measuring head with a cylindrical measuring rod. The indicators are placed at a given distance from the axis of the conical hole with the probe providing symmetry with respect to the axis of the conical hole and with the possibility of interaction of one probe with the side of the groove of the measuring object at a point at one end, and the other probe at a point at the other end. The measuring heads are arranged so that their measuring tip and cylindrical measuring rod are placed in a conical hole at a given height from the mounting plane of the base and with the parallelism of the axes of the measuring tip and the conical hole and the intersection of the axes of the said hole and cylindrical measuring rod at right angles, as well as with the possibility of contacts of the measuring tip with the bottom of the groove at a point on one of its at the end, and the cylindrical measuring rod - along the line in the direction of the width of the bottom at its other end.
EFFECT: present invention enables to measure the width and deviation from the symmetry of the groove.
