SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shut-off and control valves, in particular to ball valves with throttling elements, and is intended for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatics, in various industries, energy, military devices, medicine. The control valve comprises a composite body with inlet and outlet branch pipes, a ball rotary valve with a through hole, a stem, a stem seal, ball rotary valve seats, a throttling element is attached to the through hole of the ball rotary valve. The throttling element is a plate with holes attached to the inner wall of the through hole of the spherical rotary valve, made in the form of a segment of a circle, the base of which is parallel to the axis of the spherical rotary valve, and the holes on the plate are arranged in annular rows, the centers of which are located on the axis of the through hole of the spherical rotary valve, the diameter of the holes in the rows increases from the periphery to the center, and their number in the rows increases from the center to the periphery.
EFFECT: preventing cavitation.
