SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of molecular biology, biotechnology, forensic medicine and criminology, genetic studies in the field of human identification. A method for the production of molecular markers for determination of probable human appearance by multiplex amplification for work with degraded DNA samples is proposed. For genotyping, a composition is used, consisting of 24 pairs of original synthetic oligonucleotide primers, for a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (hereinafter – PCR), flanking DNA sections containing single-nucleotide polymorphisms (hereinafter – SNP) or 19 pairs of synthetic original oligonucleotide primers are used. PCR products corresponding to selected primers are markers. A method for determination of probable human appearance is proposed. The method includes genetic study of a biological sample containing DNA, using multiplex PCR, and subsequent determination of a nucleotide sequence of amplification products containing SNP markers of appearance determination, obtained by the method according to cl. 1. A kit for genotyping (DNA test system) of an individual for implementation of a method, as well as the use of a method for determination of probable human appearance for determination of probable appearance of an individual originating from populations of the Russian Federation are proposed.

EFFECT: invention allows for identification of an unknown individual and determination of appearance features with high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy.
