FIELD: medicine; veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: animal is subjected to impact of a gas mixture. In this case, impact is performed through the respiratory system and the skin, and the gas mixture consists of: oxygen of 20-60% by vol.; helium of 0-50% by vol.; argon of 25-35% by vol.; xenon of 0.2-3% by vol.; nitrogen is the rest, wherein a temperature of the supplied mixture is maintained from 15 to 70°C. At the same time, in particular, the animal is supplied with the gas mixture directly through devices allowing for creation of the mixture and regulation of a composition of gas within the specified limits. The device is a sealed container for accommodation of the animal, to which a cylinder with the gas mixture of high pressure or a device for mixing, preparation, and supply of the gas mixture is connected, with a valve with connector for connection of the cylinder, and an excessive pressure valve embedded in a wall. A device for absorption of carbon dioxide from air is placed inside the container.

EFFECT: inventions allow for reduction in a death rate and disability of animals in the result of wounds with massive blood loss, with ischemic stroke, heart attack, and acute respiratory failure at a preclinical stage, during the delivery, and at a stage of treatment in a veterinary clinic.
