The method according to the invention includes exposing the body of a newborn to a drug consisting of a mixture of gases. The medicinal product according to the invention is a mixture of gases, including oxygen in a concentration of 21 to 40 vol.%, helium in a concentration of 0 to 50 vol.%, argon in a concentration of 25 to 35 vol.%, xenon in a concentration of 0 to 3 vol.%, nitrogen is the rest of vol.%. The device according to the invention is designed to carry out the method and includes a chamber made airtight for the supply of a medicinal product.
EFFECT: use of the inventions makes it possible to achieve an increase in the efficiency of nursing premature and full-term children, a decrease in mortality and disability of newborns due to the relief of hypoxic-ischemic disorders of the brain and other vital organs, as well as compensation for respiratory disorders and hypothermia.
