FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely to military field therapy and disaster medicine; it is intended for rescue of the wounded with great blood loss and concomitant hypothermia (exogenous and endogenous hypothermia), being in field conditions, which cannot be urgently evacuated to hospital conditions. A therapeutic breathing gas mixture is proposed, in which concentration of oxygen is 21-25 vol.%, helium – 40-50 vol.%, argon – 25-35 vol.%, and xenon – from 2 to 10 vol.%, wherein a temperature of the breathing gas mixture is 30-70°C. A therapeutic breathing gas mixture is proposed, in which concentration of xenon is 5-35 vol.%, argon – 25-35 vol.%, oxygen – from 30 to 60 vol.%, wherein a temperature of the breathing gas mixture is 20-70°C. A method for long-term maintenance of viability of the wounded with great blood loss with hypothermia is also proposed, including stopping the bleeding by application of bandages and tourniquets, administration of hemostatic and analgesic drugs and blood substitutes. Then, the wounded is first transferred to a breathing mode with the first breathing gas mixture, which is supplied for 5-50 minutes for cupping hypothermia, and then to a breathing mode with the second breathing gas mixture.
EFFECT: inventions provide significant reduction in mortality rate in wounds with great blood loss and in conditions of low ambient temperatures in field conditions, and a time reserve up to 6-8 hours and more for evacuation of the wounded to hospital conditions for carrying out a complex of standard therapeutic procedures.
