FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing by pressure; it can be used for formation of a corrugation in a metal sheet, which is used in a structure of sealing membrane of a fluid storage tank. Bending device (9) contains upper (10) and lower (11) frames, a lower matrix with first and second elements (14), an upper punch, and first and second side clamps (20). There is an auxiliary device made with the possibility of assistance to movement of at least one of first and second elements (14) to a closed position together with movement of the punch to a bending position. The auxiliary device provides movement of at least one of first and second elements (14) in accordance with the speed ratio, which is changed between a non-working position and a bending position. The speed ratio is the ratio between a linear speed of matrix element (14) in a direction “x” and a linear speed of the upper punch in a direction “z”.
