SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bearing housing for a rotating roll. The bearing housing has a bearing and sealing units located in it. The cooling jacket is located on the outer periphery of the bearing housing in such a way that the cooling jacket covers at least part of the axial region of the bearing and at least part of the axial region of the seal assembly. The cooling jacket has a cooling water inlet and a cooling water outlet. The bearing housing is cooled by cooling water supplied to the cooling jacket through the cooling water inlet.
EFFECT: efficient cooling of the bearing and stuffing box seal with cooling water over their entire width is achieved.
