FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to the production of an alloy based on magnesium. The method for obtaining a magnesium alloy includes heating magnesium until complete melting in an inert medium, introducing a refining flux above the surface of the melt, introducing an alloy-forming component containing aluminum and zinc, mixing the molten alloy-forming component and molten magnesium, while first an Al-Be master alloy is introduced into the magnesium melt at a temperature of 650-670°C, followed by holding the melt for 3-4 minutes, then zinc is introduced in an amount of 1% by weight of the melt and together aluminum and Al-Fe alloy in a weight ratio of 1:0.75, followed by holding for 8-10 minutes at a temperature of 720-740°C.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce losses and achieve maximum assimilation of beryllium when alloying magnesium alloys.
