FIELD: inorganic materials technology
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic materials technology. A solution of CP sodium nitrate and bidistilled water corresponding to saturated at a temperature of 90°C is prepared from a supersaturated aqueous solution, kept at a temperature of 95°C for 1 h, filtered and the solution cooled from 90°C to 20°C with a constant cooling rate of 0.4 deg/min to purify sodium nitrate by crystallisation. Then the product is filtered under vacuum and washed from the mother liquor with bidistilled water or a solution of bidistilled water and isopropyl alcohol.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain high-purity sodium nitrate with reduced potassium content and increase the final product yield.
