FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the production of high-purity inorganic materials, namely, to the production of high-purity anhydrous lithium molybdate with pollution purity of at least 99.995 wt. %. The method includes the use of a solid-phase synthesis method. In addition to the initial charge consisting of lithium carbonate and molybdenum oxide (VI), lithium chloride with pollution purity of at least 99.995 wt. %, is added in the amount of 10-30 wt. %. The container with the charge is placed in a reactor made of inert material, inside of which under dynamic vacuum conditions at a pressure of residual gases no higher than 10-2 torr. Annealing is carried out at a temperature of 200°C for 2 hours, after which synthesis is carried out in the reactor at a temperature of 650°C in a dynamic vacuum of less than 10-2 torr for at least 5 hours. The reactor is cooled, the container with the obtained lithium molybdenum is removed in a glove box.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain high-purity lithium molybdate with pollution purity of at least 99.995 wt. %, while carrying out a greater number of synthesis cycles using one container while reducing exposure to container material.
