FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry, to acousto-optic alcohol meters; it can be used for express analysis and control of a volume fraction of ethyl alcohol in alcoholic beverages bottling lines, in factory laboratories of alcoholic beverage producers, in centers of state control of alcoholic beverage quality. A method for calibration of an acousto-optic alcohol meter is proposed, excluding the dependence of the result of measurement of a volume fraction of ethyl alcohol in a working temperature range on an ambient temperature, including a single procedure active for the entire operation period of alcohol meter coming with two-channel calibrated cuvettes. The acousto-optic alcohol meter is calibrated by reading of ranges in a climatic chamber in the working temperature range of the acousto-optic alcohol meter from all two-channel cuvettes, determination, by temperature groups of ranges, for all cuvettes, of a central frequency – the maximum resonant absorption and the most optimal points by frequency ratio arms, at which a measurement error rate is minimal.
EFFECT: exclusion of the dependence of the result of measurement of a volume fraction of ethyl alcohol in a working temperature range on an ambient temperature, an error rate of the result of measurement of the volume fraction of ethyl alcohol in the range from +15 to +34°C of no more than 0.01% by vol., thereby improving metrological characteristics, simplifying measurement procedures compared to a prototype – an alcohol hydrometer.
