SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry and can be used in drug quality control centres and control-analytical laboratories during quantitative determination of sum of flavonoids in wild bergamot (Monarda fisiulosa L.) herb. Method for quantitative determination of the amount of flavonoids in wild bergamot herb, with preliminary production of water-alcohol extraction from wild bergamot herb by extraction of 1 g of a precise weighed portion of wild bergamot herb milled with particles to 1 mm particles by ethyl alcohol, in terms of substance of flavonoid nature, by differential spectrophotometry, wherein the raw material is extracted once, the extractant used is ethyl alcohol in concentration of 60 % in ratio "raw material-extractant" – 1:50, quantitative determination of sum of flavonoids in wild bergamot herb is carried out at wave length 394 nm in terms of cinaroside and content of sum of flavonoids (X in %) in terms of cinaroside and absolutely dry material is calculated by a certain formula; if there is no standard sample of cinaroside, theoretical value of its specific absorption coefficient is used equal to 350, and content of sum of flavonoids (X in %) is calculated by a certain formula.

EFFECT: method for quantitative determination of the sum of flavonoids in a wild bergamot herb, described above, is specific and accurate.
