FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in burners at thermal power plants, boilers, etc. The fuel combustion method consists in creating an electric discharge in the ignition zone, supplying an air-fuel mixture to the ignition zone, igniting and burning the air-fuel mixture. The air-fuel mixture is affected by an electric discharge, which is created on the electrodes located in the root zone of the flame, with a frequency of 20-50 kHz, a current rate of 0.1-1 A and a voltage of 3-20 kV, providing a high-frequency transition from a glow to an arc discharge and intensifying the processes of excitation and dissociation of molecules, as well as the ionization process in both glow and arc discharges.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of combustion devices and improved environmental performance of burner devices.
