SUBSTANCE: shutting off large-diameter pipelines transporting aggressive, corrosive, toxic and flammable media with high pressures and high speeds of the transported medium. The device consists of a sealed housing, a shut-off pendulum, shut-off pendulum seats, pendulum movement mechanisms, manually and mechanically driven spindles. The body is equipped with coaxial connecting flanges for underlying sections of the pipeline. The shut-off pendulum is formed by a blind disk fixed on a suspension bracket. The seats are fixed in the body coaxially with the flanges. Spindles mounted on the outside of the body. Cylindrical shanks of the spindles are introduced into the body through stuffing box seals and are connected with the shut-off pendulum movement mechanisms. The shut-off pendulum is suspended in the body on the Hooke hinge, with the possibility of movement along the axis of the pipeline until it is placed in the seat and across the axis of the pipeline until it goes beyond the seat. One Hooke's hinge jaw is rigidly connected to the suspension bracket, the second Hooke's hinge jaw is rigidly connected to the body, the axes of the Hooke's hinge cross are directed parallel and perpendicular to the axis of the pipeline. Suspension bracket made of two parts connected with the possibility of relative rotation of one relative to the other.
