FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: transport chute with electric heating for liquid metal contains a metal casing with lining made of refractory and heat-insulating materials and with a refractory channel and heat-insulating covers with electric heaters installed on top of the metal casing along the entire length of the metal path. The heat-insulating covers contain a supporting structure with pressure plates and a ventilated body and are fixed to the metal casing by means of quick-release brackets. Inside the case there are several layers of heat-insulating material, heating elements and temperature control sensors. The pressure plates fix the heating elements in the housing.
EFFECT: increased period of uninterrupted operation, reduction of weight and size indicators, convenience of replacement and maintenance of heating elements.
