SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a heater assembly for an aerosol generating system, a method for the manufacture of a heater assembly, a cartridge for an aerosol generating system, and an aerosol generating system. Heater assembly (120) for the aerosol generating system contains fluid-permeable heating element (122) made with the possibility of evaporation of liquid aerosol forming substrate (131), transferring material (124) made with the possibility of transfer of liquid aerosol forming substrate (131) to fluid-permeable heating element (122) having a thickness formed between first surface (124a) of transferring material (124) and opposite second surface (124b) of transferring material (124). First surface (124a) is located to provide fluid communication with fluid-permeable heating element (122), and second surface (124b) is made with the possibility of reception of liquid aerosol forming substrate (131), and second surface (124b) of transferring material (124) is equipped with at least one hole (126), which passes to transferring material (124) to a depth corresponding to at least part of the thickness of transferring material (124) to form a formed fluid channel for liquid aerosol forming substrate (131).

EFFECT: presence in capillary material of the minimum amount of liquid aerosol forming substrate to avoid “dry heating”, i.e., a situation, at which a fluid-permeable heating element is heated with insufficient amount of liquid aerosol forming substrate.
