SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the quantitative determination of dexamethasone in biological media. A method for the quantitative determination of dexamethasone in biological media using HPLC with ultraviolet detection is proposed, according to which the extraction of dexamethasone from biosamples is carried out by liquid-liquid extraction with acetone in an acidic medium, a mixture of methanol and phosphate buffer in a ratio of 50:50 is used as the mobile phase, the stationary phase represented by Kromasil 100 С18, 250 column×4.6 mm, 5 µm, detection is carried out at 241 nm, and atenolol is used as an internal standard.

EFFECT: above method is a highly sensitive for the determination of dexamethasone in biological media using HPLC-UV.
