SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for battery control. The device includes the following: vehicle control unit, power distribution unit (PDU), and battery pack. The vehicle control unit generates and applies an EPO emergency power off signal with a constant voltage. The power distribution unit (PDU) receives the EPO signal from the vehicle control unit and transmits it to the battery pack. When the EPO signal voltage value is determined as an error value in the battery pack, the battery control is only stopped by switching the circuit, and the EPO signal information is supplied to the vehicle control unit.
EFFECT: control of the emergency shutdown of the battery bypassing the control chip.
