FIELD: vehicle safety devices.
SUBSTANCE: variants of a battery protection device and methods of its operation. The protection device contains: a battery pack, a collision detection unit, a vehicle control unit, a connector, a battery management system, a CAN network transmission unit. The vehicle control unit transmits an alarm signal to the battery pack. The alarm signal to the battery pack is given on a separate alarm line. Accident data is transmitted to the vehicle control unit via the CAN line. The connector switches the battery drive according to the signal. The battery management system sends a control signal to the battery pack connector according to the alarm change. The battery management system includes an alarm receiver. The alarm receiver sends an alarm signal to the battery pack connector. The control device detects a collision when the alarm pulse jitter high limit is received and sends a stop signal to the battery pack connector. When the high and low vibration limits are received in the predetermined period, the control device determines that no vehicle collision occurs.
EFFECT: improved safety of the battery in the event of a collision.
