FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: production of isotopically enriched germanium tetrachloride GeCl4. Method for producing isotopically enriched germanium tetrachloride from inorganic compounds is proposed, characterized by that isotopically enriched germanium tetrafluoride (70GeF4, 72GeF4, 73GeF4, 74GeF4, 76GeF4 ) and aluminium chloride (III) are used as inorganic compounds, the interaction of which is carried out at a temperature of 150-400°C in a closed reactor with a 2-10-fold excess of aluminium (III) chloride relative to the stoichiometric ratio and the contact time of the reagents of 2-20 hours.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to increase the yield of isotopically enriched germanium tetrachloride up to 95% and to reduce the content of impurities in the resulting product.
