FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of nickel-titanium alloys. The method consists in simultaneous melting of nickel and titanium electrode wires in a graphite crucible due to the heat of electric arcs burning between the graphite crucible or molten metal and electrode wires in an argon medium, while the electrode wires are continuously fed into the graphite crucible.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of controlling the chemical composition of the resulting alloy by controlling the feed rate of the electrode wires.
