The invention relates to medicine, namely to neonatology and pediatrics, and can be used to predict the development of intraventricular hemorrhages (IVH) in premature newborns born from mothers with preeclampsia. In the lysate of endothelial cells isolated from the umbilical cord vein, the concentrations of endothelial nitric oxide synthase and angiogenin are determined. Then, the prognostic index D is calculated by the formula, and when D is less than 0, the development of IVH in the early neonatal period is predicted, and when D is greater than 0, the absence of IVH in the early neonatal period is judged in premature newborns born from mothers with preeclampsia.

EFFECT: method allows timely preventive measures to be taken to prevent the formation of this pathology by predicting the development of IVH in the early neonatal period in premature newborns by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
