SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for creating planting holes in the soil before planting seedlings and yearling of forest and agricultural crops. The device for creating holes of various depths includes a pipe with a gate valve. The gate valve is made in the form of two swivel jaws forming a wedge in the closed state. Each of the rotary jaws is equipped with a side lever. Each lever is equipped with a rotation limiter and a stand with a support platform. At the same time, at the free end of each lever, an eyelet is made, which serves to connect the lever by means of a pin with one of the holes of the vertical post of the support platform.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the labour intensity by providing automatic opening and closing of the gate valve in forming the planting hole, as well as automatic maintenance of the specified depth of the formed planting hole.
