SUBSTANCE: perform peripheral venous blood sampling. Isolate DNA from the peripheral venous blood. Analyse polymorphic loci of MMP-9 gene. When AGC haplotype of polymorphic loci rs17576-rs3787268-rs2250889 of the MMP-9 gene is detected, high risk of developing breast cancer in obese women is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides obtaining new criteria for assessment of breast cancer risk developing in patients of Russian nationality, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation, based on data on polymorphic loci rs17576-rs3787268-rs2250889 of the MMP-9 gene.
