SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the risk of developing breast cancer in non-obese women of the Russian nationality. DNA from the peripheral venous blood is isolated. Polymorphic loci of MMP-9 gene are analyzed. When the CCA haplotype of polymorphic loci rs3918242-rs3918249-rs17576 of the MMP-9 gene is detected, a high risk of developing breast cancer in non-obese women is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides obtaining new criteria for assessment of breast cancer risk developing in patients of Russian nationality, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation, based on data on polymorphic loci rs3918242-rs3918249-rs17576 of the MMP-9 gene.
