FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: hardening surface treatment of products made of metals or their alloys with the application of multilayer coatings, used in mechanical engineering when hardening the working surfaces of parts to increase their durability, corrosion resistance, fatigue and wear resistance, and improvement of frictional properties. The device contains a tank designed to be filled with a process liquid, one of the components of which is a substance to be deposited on the surface of the product, with the possibility of its circulation, at least one means for moving the product immersed in the tank filled with the process liquid, by at least two orthogonal coordinates in the horizontal plane, and a source of laser radiation, made with the possibility of shock pulse impact on the surface of the product under a layer of process fluid.
EFFECT: manufacturability and quality of surface treatment of products as a result of ensuring the positioning accuracy of products of any configuration during their processing, as well as increasing the thickness of the surface layer in which compressive stresses are formed.
