FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of ingots by electroslag remelting from stainless titanium and boron steel grades. In the method, a consumable electrode is remelted, in which the content of titanium and boron corresponds to the grade, in a fixed mould using flux, containing in % by weight: calcium fluoride 45-52, aluminium oxide 20-25, calcium oxide 17-22, titanium oxide 6-8, magnesium oxide 2-4.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain ingots from stainless titanium and boron-containing steel grades with a uniform distribution of elements along the height of the ingot, while avoiding titanium waste during remelting of the consumable electrode.
