SUBSTANCE: device for performing analysis of lateral spreading of a liquid sample of the test material contains a container having a lower wall part that closes the first end of the container to limit the internal space for receiving material and has a container opening at the second end of the container opposite the first end. The compartment for accommodating the test strip for analysis of lateral spreading has a lower part located closer to the first end of the container than to the second end. The fluid passage is in fluid communication with the interior material receiving space and the lower part. The cover is made with the possibility of overlapping the opening of the container and contains a body part having an outer periphery. The sample receiving part is located in said body part and is in fluid communication with the internal material receiving space. The fluid passage is defined by a first opening in the bottom of the compartment and a second opening in the lid. A setup for performing lateral spreading analysis of a liquid sample of a test material is disclosed.
