SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of detecting an analyte in a sample. Method involves mixing a sample with a suspension of carbon quantum dots conjugated with an anti-analyte antibody or a molecular analogue of the analyte, applying the obtained mixture to the test strip, estimating the content of the analyte in the sample by recording the number of carbon quantum dots retained on the test strip.
EFFECT: invention provides a method of detecting an analyte in a sample using cheaper and colloidly stable nanoparticles having fluorescent properties and which do not require the use of toxic substances during production.
