SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to improve the efficiency of in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs. Melatonin is taken at a dose of 3 mg per os 40 minutes before bedtime in preconception preparation in women aged 22–36 years old. The medicinal product is taken a month before the IVF cycle, throughout the entire cycle of ovarian stimulation and within 10 days after the transfer of the embryo into the uterine cavity.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the clinical efficiency of in vitro fertilization programs in the form of improving the quality of the ovarian response to hormonal stimulation by increasing the number of obtained oocyte-cumulus complexes and mature oocytes, increasing the frequency and quality of embryo division, increasing the frequency of obtaining embryos of high morphological quality, as well as embryos balanced in terms of ploidy, increased pregnancy rate.
