FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microsurgical instruments used in ophthalmic surgery for variable scarification of the corneal epithelium. Scarifier for corneal collagen crosslinking includes a body in the form of a hollow cylinder, a working part bent along the curvature of the cornea, and a handle. The body is made in the form of a hollow cylinder with a closed top, inside which there is a working part in the form of a piston able to perform reciprocating movement inside the body. On the lower concave surface of the working part, congruent to the surface of the cornea, there are microneedles each 0.3 mm long, totally 20 microneedles per 1 cm2. The depth limiter is made in the form of a conical pin, placed in a vertical slot of the body, apex outward, connected to the working part and coupled with an adjusting nut, a thread pitch is 0.25 mm. Adjustment nut has 360 degree markings. On the side surface of the housing, above the working part, there is a fitting for air supply.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to reduce the recurrence of infectious keratitis.
