FIELD: lidar systems.
SUBSTANCE: implemented systems and method for determining the distance from the lidar system to the object at the stage of use, including: obtaining a sequence of discrete numerical values representing the reverse optical pulse; a call to obtain a resolution parameter to a prefilled library stored in memory, wherein the call includes determining the similarity parameters of the sequence of discrete values and the corresponding profiles from the list of template pulse profiles, where the similarity parameter is determined for the sequence of discrete values and the corresponding template pulse profile from the list of template pulse profiles, and obtaining from the library at least the corresponding resolution parameter of the template pulse profile having the highest similarity parameter; and using the appropriate resolution parameter to determine the distance from the lidar system to the object at the stage of use.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the lidar system while reducing hardware in various lidar systems by introducing and using a pre-filled library 700 to obtain and use the resolution parameter in order to determine the distance between the object 330 and the lidar system.
