FIELD: navigation equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lidar systems and methods of calibrating lidar systems. Result is achieved by the fact that disclosed is a lidar system comprising a light source, a scanning unit, a detection unit and a housing, wherein calibration during operation of the lidar system involves moving the reflecting element into a position which enables redirection of the light beam to the inner surface of the housing instead of the surrounding space, determination of voltage value at capturing of back light beam and calibration of detection unit on the basis of difference between determined voltage value and basic voltage value.
EFFECT: high accuracy of navigation in the surrounding space.
