SUBSTANCE: invention is related specifically to a plasticizer for rubber compounds based on butadiene-methylstyrene rubber and can be used in production of rubber for various purposes. The plasticizer is a symmetrical or unsymmetrical ether of a dicarboxylic aliphatic or cycloaliphatic acid C₂-C₁₀ corresponding to the general formula R¹O-C(=O)-B-C(=O)-OR², where B is C₁ -C ₈ alkylene of cyclic or non-cyclic structure or its absence, in case of symmetrical esters of dicarboxylic acids: R¹=R²=[CH(R)-CH₂-O]_n-R³ where R=H or CH₃, R³=Alk or Ar, n=1.0…4.0; Alk - radical C ₄-C ₁₀, Ar - radical C₆-C₁₃, in case of unsymmetrical esters of dicarboxylic acids: R¹ =[CH(R)-CH₂-O]_n-R³ where R=H or CH₃, R³=Alk or Ar; n=1.0…4.0; R²=Alk, Ar, [CH(R)-CH₂-O]_x-R ⁴ where R=H or CH₃, R⁴ =Alk or Ar, x=1.0…0; Alk - radical C₄-C₁₀, Ar - radical C₆-C₁₃.

EFFECT: expansion of range of environmentally friendly additives for rubbers based on butadiene-methylstyrene rubber, increase of frost resistance of rubber-based vulcanizates while maintaining the physical, mechanical, operational and technological characteristics of the resulting composition.
