FIELD: radar.
SUBSTANCE: used in pulse-Doppler radar stations for measuring the motion parameters of high-speed air objects. In the claimed method, radio pulses with harmonic high-frequency filling are used, and the duration of the probing pulses is chosen as a multiple of the period of the intermediate frequency and sampling rate. The received signal is converted into a sequence of digital samples, from which data blocks are formed using a sliding window with a duration equal to the duration of the probing pulse. At the moment of detecting the trailing edge of the radio pulse, the samples of the current data block are weighted using the Bartlett window transform. Then calculate the amplitudes of the nearest side spectral components |Ck-1|, |Ck+1| relative to the main spectral component |Ck| corresponding to the intermediate frequency, on the basis of which the value of the radial velocity is calculated.
EFFECT: reduction of the time spent on the process of measuring the radial velocity.
