FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to increase the stability of band saws in the sawing process. The device for preparing wood-cutting band saws contains a saw, an inducing wire, heat-removing elements made of a heat-conducting non-ferromagnetic material, made in the form of plate radiators, located on both sides of the saw in contact with the side surface. At the same time, the radiator located on the inner surface of the saw blade is made with a longitudinal groove coinciding with the location of the inducing wire within the boundaries of the strip heating section of the saw blade. The second radiator is located on the opposite surface of the web outside the heating zone.
EFFECT: increased stability of wood-cutting band saws by stabilizing thermoplastic transformations in the blade.
