SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polynucleotide encoding the Cry2Ai insecticidal protein, as well as to a construct, a vector, a cell, a plant, a plant tissue, a plant seed, a biological sample of a plant, as well as to a commercial product and a composition containing it. Also a method of producing a transgenic plant, which involves introducing the above polynucleotide into a plant cell is disclosed.
EFFECT: invention is effective for control of Scirpophaga incertulas, Spodoptera Mauritia and H. Armigera insects.
